Perception
Definiton: the process of making meaning from the things we experience in the environments
Frank Gallagher is a good example of perception. Frank thinks that the world owes him something and always makes a point of it. From doing things like stealing money or drugs, because he “deserves them”. Franks perception of the world is a lot different from the everyone’s around him. Frank thinks this because he has had a difficult life and he believes that he deserves better. But through others perceptions, he has created his difficult times from the choices he has made and does not deserve anything from the world.

Perception is the the process of making meaning from our environment (Floyd, 2017). This process is consistently happening and how we interpret what everyone around is saying and doing.
