Stereotyping
Defintion: generalizations about a group or category of people
Frank Gallagher is someone who gets stereotypes very often. Frank did not graduate high school, lives on the south side of Chicago and drinks very often. All of these reasons make people think is a low life and they do not think he is very smart. But Frank is actually a very smart guy. He has a lot of street smarts and can think very quickly on his feet. Frank almost always gets his way or out of a sticky situation, so he does not fit the typical high-school drop out stereotype.

Stereotyping are generalizations of a certain group of people (Floyd, 2017). These stereotypes can have influences on the way that we see that group of people. Many people think stereotyping is wrong but do it without even knowing it. Stereotyping can be very inaccurate and even sometimes offense (Floyd, 2017).
